研究方向

主要从事进化生物学,开展的研究工作包括以下3个方面:

1)通过整合分子生物学、基因组学生态学、生物地理学和古生物学的理论方法和技术手段,对现存和化石生物类群,尤其是早期陆地植物开展进化生物学研究(主要是宏观进化),揭示早期陆地植物的起源之谜,揭示植物登陆过程中的生态机会和关键形态创新

2)借助基因组学和系统发育基因组学的手段揭示不同生物类群的进化潜力和进化约束,探寻物种多样性、遗传多样性和基因组多样性之间的关系,从不同分类等级和多个进化维度上阐明生物多样性的表现形式、成因过程维持机制,为全面揭示全球气候变化和人类活动对生物多样性的影响、生物种质资源开发和物种多样性保护提供理论基础和策略指导

3)开展微观进化、植物与昆虫的协同进化关系,尤其是植物-害虫-天敌之间的食物链关系和分布格局,从而为认知不同生物间的协同进化关系提供新的理论基础。
